Purchasing a JIV battery does not mean the end of our working relationship. Batteries need maintenance so they last longer and give the range they are designed to provide. They also may need repairs in the unfortunate event of breaking down. Motion Energy Solutions provides warranties for all its batteries so drivers can drive with peace of mind, knowing that we always have their back.

Hybrid cars differ from petrol-driven cars in that they have an additional hybrid battery, with voltage ranging from 144V to above 300V. Hybrid batteries are relatively costly, as they are made of expensive material like nickel, cobalt, lithium and manganese. It is imperative to maintain hybrid batteries properly so they last longer, negating the need to repair or replace the entire battery.

Maintaining a hybrid battery is easy. When it’s time to visit, just drive down to one of our authorised workshops. Depending on your battery’s condition, our skilled mechanics will perform the necessary maintenance and cleaning operations so that it works like new again. As a rule of thumb, send your car in for battery servicing every 12 months or 40,000km of driving, whichever comes earlier.

VIFI warrants its JIV hybrid batteries for three years or 100,000km mileage, whichever comes earlier. Your battery should provide you with trouble-free use during this period but should you need any repair or replacement, bring your car down to any of our workshops. An extended warranty package of up to seven years is available from our authorised workshops.
